Companioning Life’s Unchosen Chapters

A calm, steady space for

the hard parts of life

Illness, dying, caregiving, grief, burnout, and the quiet ruptures no one prepares you for.

I'm not one thing, one service, or one promise. I companion tides no one asked for, and I'm steady in storms most people never see.

A place built for honesty, slowness, and being met without pressure.

Not therapy. Not a program. Just a person who stays.

Maybe you already know this is for you

You tell yourself you just need to be quieter. More over it. Stronger. More organized. To get it together, because everyone else seems to have. But no one has helped you hold your truth.

You don't have to be falling apart, though I won't turn you away if you are.

You don't have to be in crisis, though I won't flinch if you're in the thick of it.

You can simply be tired. Tired in your bones. Tired of holding it all. Tired of pretending to be okay.

For those who say things like…

  • "I'm just trying to get through the day."

  • "Everything changed and I don't know what to do now."

  • "I don't want advice. I just need a break."

  • "I'm not in danger — I'm just not okay."

  • "I don't need therapy — I just need someone to talk to who gets it."

  • “I don’t want to do this alone”

You don’t come here because you are weak, because you are not.

You come because there’s actually someone who can hold it with you.

If any of that sounds like you, you’re in the right place.

If none of that sounds like you, that's completely okay.

This isn't for everyone, and it doesn't need to be.

What it’s like here

It's quiet. You don't have to talk if you don't want to.

Nothing gets pushed, pried open, or analyzed. I don't give advice unless you ask for it. I don't try to make things "better."

You can cry, swear, sit in silence, or just breathe. You can show up messy, tired, angry, numb, or unsure.

I stay with you. That's it.

Light reflected in dome window, symbolizing remembrance and comfort. Sheri's Place

What this actually is

I can't tell you just one thing Sheri's Place is. It's grief. It's love. It's healing so you don't bleed on the people you love. It's a place for those who have the courage to find their fire, their grit, and come home to themselves despite the journey.

It's as small as a candle glimmering in the corner of City Hall. And just as enduring.

The Dome

Tucked in the trees on private property, away from waiting rooms and fluorescent light. Built by hand, meant to be sat in, not rushed through.

My father believed in this space before it existed. He was the one who told me to build it and made sure I finally could. It's as much his as it is mine.
